Nagaland Police gets permission to open 18 subsidiary canteens

DIMAPUR, JUNE 13 (MExN): Bringing cheer to the families of all policemen across the state, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India has approved the opening of 18 new subsidiary canteens for Nagaland Police.


According to a letter addressed to the Director General of Police (DGP), Nagaland, the MHA has given the go ahead to open 18 out of the 19 subsidiary canteens under the ambit of Master Canteen GC, CRPF, Khatkhati, Assam. It also informed that out of the 19 CPC sub- canteens as requested by the Nagaland Police, the sub -canteen for 7th Bn NAP Bhandari has already been permitted in 2017.


Done under the initiative of the Nagaland DGP Rubin Sharma, the Nagaland Police had sent the proposal requesting for grant of permission to open 19 new subsidiary canteens at various locations of Nagaland.


With the establishment of these canteens, the policemen and their families are expected to get products and items required on a daily basis at highly subsidized rates from these canteens, just like military personnel.
