Nagaland Police holds Unit Commanders' Conference

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 9 (MExN): The Unit Commanders' Conference of the Nagaland Police was held at Rhododendron hall, Chümoukedima on February 8.


According to a press release from PHQ PRO, Director General of Police T John Longkumer, IPS, senior officers from Police Headquarters, Kohima and all district Superintendents of Police and Commandants of units attended the meeting.


The convergence of the police officers reviewed and discussed key issues and responsibilities.


In such consonance, law and order of all the districts were reviewed. The meeting also looked into the preparations of the upcoming elections.


The conference also witnessed presentations on various topics by senior officers and discussions were held on the current law and order situation, border issues, Free Movement Regime (FMR), crime across various districts, Traffic management of Dimapur among others.


In the evening session, a training programme of all the police officers and the respective unit Election Nodal Officers was conducted by the office of the Chief Election Officer and their team.


Abihijit Sinha, LAS, CEO Nagaland delivered a presentation on the various duties and roles expected to be performed by the police.


The meeting closed with the resolve by all to contribute and do their best to ensure smooth and successful upcoming parliamentary election.
