Nagaland Science Centre conduct winter workshop

Dimapur, December 18 (MExN): Nagaland Science Centre: Innovation Hub, Dimapur under department of Science and Technology conducted three-day free winter workshop themed ‘Ignite Young Innovative Minds’ and ‘Robotics’ from December 13 to 15 for elementary and secondary students.


Vikuovotuo Zhale, Junior Mentor, Nagaland Science Centre in a press release stated that the students were practically taught one on one and exposed to various subjective areas like computer and internet fundamentals, innovative instant mini mechanical projects, electrical and electronic projects, bio chemistry microscopy, testing and analysis. Students were introduced to lego-building and robotics programming where at the end of the day Lego robotics line follower competition was also held.


Richard Rikhio, Curator: Nagaland Science Centre in his speech on the last day of the workshop applauded the students for their active participation. He stressed on the need and importance of present day students to technically think outside the box and act differently. He urged the students to register in the Innovation Hub with their innovative ideas and projects, and also stressed on how one could nurture one’s ideas and technically develop oneself with the facilities and resources available.


The workshop ended with awarding prizes for best performing participants and certificates were awarded to all workshop participants.
