Nagaland in-service doctors’ annual general meeting held

Kohima, December 9 (MExN): The Nagaland In-Service Doctors’ Association (NIDA) held its Annual General Body meeting on December 8 at the Capital Convention Centre, Kohima.  

R Ramakrishnan, Commissioner & Secretary of Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) department, who was the chief guest, stressed that the success of the department depends on the proper functioning of the doctors and staffs.  

He further appreciated the doctors serving in rural areas for their concern and dedication towards the rural people, said a press release from State IEC Bureau, H&FW department. Ramakrishnan also encouraged the doctors and staffs of the department to aim for further improvement in all their respective programmes.  

Dr. MA Wati, Director (FW) exhorted the gathering and also congratulated the NIDA office bearers for their achievements. He requested each one to render their service sincerely and in full dedication, the release stated.  

Earlier, the inaugural function was followed by a Business session. Dr. MC Longai Phom, Vice President, NIDA chaired the meeting, while presidential address was given by Dr. Khriezotuo Paphino, president, NIDA, which was followed by General Secretary’s report from Dr. Imotemsu.
