DIMAPUR, MARCH 22 (MExN): Tokheho Yepthomi from the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) and KL Chishi from the Indian National Congress filed nominations for election from 1-Nagaland Parliamentary Constituency on Friday at the Conference Hall of the Office of the Commissioner, Nagaland.
A DIPR report stated that the nomination papers and other documents of both the candidates and proposers were duly scrutinized and verified by Commissioner & Returning Officer, Nagaland, M. Patton and ADC (HQ) & ARO, Limanenla.
The Commissioner & RO also informed that the scrutiny of the nomination will be held on March 26 at 11 am at the Conference Hall in the Office of the Commissioner.
Meanwhile, Media Cell, CEO Office Nagaland in a press statement informed that Sharingain Longkumer filed his nomination for contesting the bye-election to the 26-Aonglenden Assembly Constituency under Mokokchung district from Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) ticket.
The elections to the lone Lok Sabha seat from Nagaland as well as the bye election to 26-Aonglenden Assembly Constituency under Mokokchung district is scheduled to be held on April 11.
