New Delhi, April 29 (MExN): The Outlook Traveller Award 2017 for ‘Best Birding Destination (Doyang Lake)’ was given to the Government of Nagaland.
Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism C. Apok Jamir received the award on behalf of the Government on April 28 at the Roseate House Aerocity, New Delhi, stated a press release issued today. In his acceptance speech, Jamir thanked the jury members, Outlook Traveller magazine, Nagaland’s Department for Forest and Environment, NGOs etc. for joining hands to put in efforts towards conservation in a “spectacular and a unique turnaround.” The Award is given through selection by public voting as well as a jury.
