Nagaland Women’s U-23 team defeats Meghalaya by 63 runs

DIMAPUR, MARCH 19 (MExN): Nagaland today defeated Meghalaya by 63 runs to win its first match of the Women’s U 23 One Day League at Ravenshaw University Ground, Cuttuck, Orrisa.

Earlier Nagaland had lost its first match against Bihar by 23 runs.

Nagaland won the toss and decided to bat first scoring 128 runs in 42.2 overs. Vaincy with 58 runs was the top scorer for the state team. Meghalaya in their rely were bowled out for a mere 65 runs in 30.5 overs. For Nagaland, Sariba took 4 wickets, Sheetal had a haul of 2 wickets and Merensola took 1 wicket.

The Nagaland team will next play against Sikkim on March 21.
