Dimapur, August 21 (MExN): The Naga Christian Fellowship (NCF) Conclave, a biennial programme for the NCFs all over India was held first time in Nagaland at Dimapur Rengma Baptist Church from August 18 to 20, where all the NCF pastors and leaders participated and shared their challenges and experiences in their ministry.
Along with the pastors, association mission secretaries under Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) and Baptist Pastors Fellowship Dimapur and other pastors within Dimapur area also attended the conclave.
During this conclave, the Naga Christian Fellowship Forum made three resolutions: To support the Clean Election Campaign under the banner of NBCC; next conclave to be held in Bangalore, 2019 and outgoing forum member, Sakurepba Tzudir, Pastor NCF Mumbai was replaced by Toshi Jamir, Pastor NCF Mysore The speakers for this conclave were Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary, NBCC, Rev. Dr. Rachülie Vihieno, Pastor, Union Baptist Church, Kohima and Rev. Vilodi Sakhrie, Pastor, Town Baptist Church, Dimapur. Pastors and leaders from Guwahati, Aizawl, Itanagar, Happy Valley, Shillong, NEIGRIHMS Shillong, Kolkata, Nagpur, Dehradun, Bangalore, Mysore, Chennai and Pondicherry attended this programme.
The Director of NMM, Rev. Andrew Semp, in his welcome address affirmed the pastors that this is an opportunity for them to come out of their cocoons to relax, refresh and rejuvenate their minds and strengths. He commented that this is a time of remarkable change with great challenges and exciting opportunities.
NBCC, General Secretary, Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho in his message based on ‘Abundant Life- Shepherding’ urged the pastors as they spend time together; this is a time to hear from them about their success and failures in the ministry. As representatives of Christ, shepherds must develop Christ like attitude/ behavior only then, shepherding will be comfortable. He further encouraged the pastors that to be good shepherds we need to enter into personal relationship with God daily.
The Convenor of the Forum, Wapangtoshi inthe vote of thanks acknowledged Dimapur Rengma Baptist Church for successfully hosted the NCF Conclave 2017, the Praise and Worship team from Dimapur Rengma Baptist Church and the Baptist Pastors Fellowship Dimapur, Dimapur Ao Baptist Church (DABA) for providing its accommodation facility, Association Mission Secretaries and all the NCF Pastors and leaders from different cities for making this conclave a success.
