The crucial elections of North Eastern Hill University Students Union (NEHUSU) slated to be held on Thursday has been postponed by the University’s Election Commission just a day before the polling day.

The last one year has seen NEHUSU actively campaigning to seek solutions for ubiquitous students’ problems, campus infrastructural issues and academic matters.

With no new polling date given, the notification, signed by the Returning Officer, Bengjamin Lyngdoh is mum on the reason for the last minute shift of the student elections. Notification only says that the new date will be notified in due course.
