NEIP seeks 10 member representation from Nagaland

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 26 (MExN): The Joint Committee on Prevention of Illegal Immigrants (JCPI) today informed that a request letter has been sent to eight tribe hohos, in addition to the Kachari Tribal Council, and the Eastern Nagaland Peoples Organisation (ENPO) to depute a member each from their community – making for a total of 10 members, to represent the state of Nagaland to the North East Forum for Indigenous People (NEFIP). The 10 members will be Nagaland’s permanent representative to the NEFIP, a press release from the JCPI said and urged nominations for the same  on or before August 28. The 10 member delegation representing the state will participate in the NEFIP Assembly at Aizawl, Mizoram from September 4 to 6. In the meantime, the JCPI informed that it will hold a meeting at hotel Jal Mahal, Mhalie Park, Dimapur at 4:00pm on August 28.
