Neiphiu Rio assures transparency

NDPP Chief Ministerial candidate, Neiphiu Rio on Saturday assured the people of transparency and good governance unlike the last three and half years of government which he accused had “no vision and no direction.”  

Addressing a public gathering at New Market, Dimapur, Rio also assured of equal treatment, protection to minorities and justice for all creed and colour if the BJP-NDPP alliance was given a chance to govern the state.  

He said that the welfare of all strata of people would be looked into through the Common Minimum Programme of the party and emphasized on changing Dimapur into a respectable city.  

Taking a dig at the educational qualification of the Chief Minister TR Zeliang, Rio said that a Chief Minister should be able to speak the truth.  

NDPP candidate of 2 Dimapur – II A/C, Supulepten appealed to the people to join hands to bring a change in the system.  

State NDPP vice president, Tokheli Kikon and other leaders also addressed the gathering.
