Dimapur, November 3 (MExN): Students of Government High School, Purana Bazaar conducted a cleanliness drive in and around the High School Colony, Purana Bazaar on November 3.
The drive was initiated by NEISSR MSW trainees Huvili Sumi and Renchano. N. Lotha as part of their community organization activities. Through this initiative, the trainees urged the student to maintain hygiene and cleanliness both inside and outside the locality. The students were also made aware about how accumulation of waste and subsequent dumping leads to breeding of germs and bacteria. The drive is a small initiative to inculcate the importance of keeping our environment healthy.
More than 300 students participated in the drive with the endeavoured to clean the roads and piles of garbage in the locality. A press release stated that the cleanliness drive was well appreciated by the Headmistress and the teachers of Government High School, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur.
