Jalukie, January 6 (MExN): A financial literacy cum bank credit linkage for 39 SHGs of North East Rural Livelihood Project (NERLP) was successfully held on January 6, changing the household incomes of the rural poor in the district of Peren.
A press release received here stated that the loan amounting to Rs.39 lakhs was sanctioned to the 39 active SHGs promoted under NERLP project under Ministry of DoNER, Government of India and supported by World Bank.
The programme was chaired by Mangaili Pfokreni. Progress of NERLP in the district was shared by Ruuvilie Kotsu District Project Manager. The financial literacy and its importance were shared by Biarab Kalita, Lead Bank Manager, SBI Dimapur and the importance of credit and recovery was briefed by Phabesh Medhi, Branch Manager of SBI Jalukie. Vote of thanks was delivered by Ringsangbo Zeliang, State coordinator NERLP.
