Philimi monthly fellowship today

Dimapur, January 24 (MExN): The Philimi Welfare, Dimapur will be holding its monthly prayer fellowship on January 25 morning at the residence of Milo Wotsa in Mishikito village. All concerned have been requested to attend the first fellowship of the year.

 

LBC to celebrate 100 yrs of Christianity

Wokha, January 24 (MExN): Lakhuti Baptist Church (LBC) in Wokha district will be celebrating its 100th anniversary from January 31 to February 2. “Lakhuti village has come a long way in accepting Christianity and sustaining it thus far,” said a press release from the LBC. As part of the celebration, a series of devotional services will be held under the theme ‘The Lord has led us thus far.’ The main speakers of the Centenary Celebration include Rev Zanao Mozhui, Pastor, Lotha Baptist Church, Dimapur; Rev Dr Ezamo Murry, former Principal, ETC Jorhat; Rev Prof Akheto Sema, General Secretary, CBCNEI; Dr A Abeni Patton, Assistant Professor, BTC Pfutsuro. The LBC has invited one and all to join the celebration of reaching a milestone. The Rev Pastor also requested all the ordained Reverends who are attending the Jubilee to bring along their white gowns.

 

BSF DG Johri explores security of Satakha 

Zunheboto, January 24 (MExN): BSF Director General, Vivek Johri, IPS visited 111 Battalion BSF in Satakha, Zuhneboto on January 24 and analyzed the security scenario of the Region. The visit was accompanied by Anupama Johri, President of BSF (Border Security Force) Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) along with Sanjeev Kumar Singh, IPS SDG (EC), Dr P K Roushan, IPS, IG HQ, Rajesh Kumar, DIG Manipur and Vidhur Bhardwaj, Commandant/PSO. The visiting officials were received by Manoj Kumar Yadav, Second-in-command/Officiating Commandant of 111 Bn BSF in Satakha.

 

PYO reminds on ban of liquor 

Kohima, January 24 (MExN): The Peraciezie Youth Organization (PYO) has issued a reminder on Peraciezie Colony’s resolution dated January 4 on the ban on production, stock and sale of alcohol within its jurisdiction with effect from February 1. PYO President Kevisetso Miachieo in a press release has appealed to the “house owners and individual/s dealing in liquor trade to comply with the Colony resolution and heed to the wishes of the colony residents.”

 

Wokha Police arrests two  

Wokha, January 24 (MExN): Wokha Police apprehended two persons in Wokha town in possession of illegal drugs (brown sugar) on January 20. The accused were identified as Chanbemo Lotha and Njano Murry. Tsumang A colony council chairman Er Yanpvuo Ezung and the public acknowledged Y Tumchobemo Yanthan, Addl SP Wokha and his team members for executing duties at the appropriate time. Official sources said that the total quantity of the illegal drug was about 16 gm. The Chairman in a press release further ensured to extend co-operation for the betterment of the society.
