Intensive fogging drive in Dimapur Town

Dimapur, November 9 (MExN): In view of the large number of dengue cases reported from Dimapur Town, Rotary Club of Dimapur in association with National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) will conduct 2nd round of intensive fogging in Dimapur Town from November 10, 4:00 pm onwards. The fogging drive will start at DMC area and cover Kalibari Road, Marwari Patti, Westyard and Sematilla colonies on November 10. Dr Moa Jamir, District Programme Officer and Kikolul Kheyia Assistant Director, UVBD scheme will supervise the fogging drive, informed a press release from Neeraj Jain, president, Rotary Club of Dimapur.



Late Isak Swu’s birth anniv invitation

Dimapur, November 9 (MExN): The Organizing Committee of the 87th birth anniversary celebration of Late Isak Chishi Swu, the former Yaruiwo, has invited the following to the celebration on November 11, 10:00 am at Hebron: all the parliamentarians, Naga Hoho, NMA, NSF, NPMHR, ENPO, ENMA, ENSF, GBs Federation Nagaland, UNC, NWU, ANSAM, Naga Council Dimapur, NWHD, DNSU, NBCC, Western Sumi Hoho, Sumi Hoho, and all tribal hohos/organizations and well wishers. NPF Wokha endorses Patton’s statement

Wokha, November 9 (MExN): The NPF Wokha Division has endorsed the statement issued by Minister for Home on November 6 with regard to sacking of Mmhonlumo Kikon from the post of Parliamentary Secretary. Therefore, the division has appealed to the Lotha community “not to take the removal of the Parliamentary Secretary on tribal lines, as induction and removal of an elected member of a legislature into Ministry is solely the prerogative of the leader of the House.” This decision was taken during the NPF Wokha Division’s consultative meeting with office bearers and frontal wings at its office on November 9. The meeting also resolved to reaffirm to support the leadership of NPF President Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietse, Chief Minister TR Zeliang and Minister for Home Y. Patton, ministerial in-charge of NPF Wokha Division, stated a press release from P. Mhonthung Lotha, president and Chopathung Kikon, general secretary of NPF Wokha Division.



Tsütuonuomia Khel Council condoles

Kohima, November 9 (MExN): The Tsütuonuomia Khel Council has expressed grief at the sudden demise of Dr. Satuo Sekhose. “Today we have lost one of our foremost officers, tall leader, a true gentleman and a man of God,” stated a condolence note from Kelhousinyü Solo, general secretary, Tsütuonuomia Khel Council. “He was a pillar of encouragement for many especially for the Tsütuonuomia people.” Sharing in the bereavement of his family, the council saluted the deceased for all that he has done for the village and for the Tsütuonuomia Khel in particular. It prayed that God will pour his spirit of comfort on the bereaved family. “May his achievements continue to spread the sweet fragrances rekindling our hearts to remember and cherish his memory,” it added.
