Hindi teachers asked to submit documents

Kohima, September 1 (MExN): All government Hindi Teachers in Nagaland have been informed to submit their bio-data along with educational qualification documents to the concerned unit president on or before September 14. Matriculate diploma holders, Veshes Gahan, Praveen, Parangat and Nishanat from Central institute Hindi Agra must submit admit card, marksheet and pass certificate. This was resolved during the meeting of All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) held on August 26. Also, all Hindi institutes (both government and private) have been informed that Hindi Diwas badge will be sold on a fixed date, i.e., on September 8 with the permission of district Deputy Commissioner concerned. ANHTU president, Rometo Sema and general secretary, AS Yarthotngam in a press release further informed all union members to strictly follow the resolutions made at August 26 meeting.


AR apprehend NSCN (IM) OGW

Dimapur, September 1 (MExN): The 32 Assam Rifles has claimed the arrest of an ‘overground worker’ (OGW) of NSCN (IM) from the Dimapur Railway Station area on August 28. According to an AR release, troops of 32 AR along with police launched a search operation and apprehended the individual along with incriminating documents and Rs 8,000 in cash. The accused was identified as Inato Kibz, 30 years, a resident of United Colony, Dimapur. The individual along with the recovered items was handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation.


DGC repeater/backlog students informed

Dimapur, September 1 (MExN): Dimapur Government College (DGC) principal has informed all repeater/backlog students of B.A & B.Com 1st, 3rd & 5th Semesters that the filling up of NU exam form will be done on September 6, 7, and 8 respectively. Exam form will be issued for all Semesters on September 5. Admit Card (photocopy) and Mark Sheet (Original) of the relevant Semester will be required for filling up the form, the principal said in a press release.


Inspire Award – MANAK

Dimapur, September 1 (MExN): The Department of Science & Technology, Government of India is going to organize Inspire Award – MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspiration and Knowledge). Informing this in a press release, Deputy District Education Officer, Dimapur has informed all the head of institutions of both private and government high schools under Dimapur district to collect the form from the office of the DDEO, Dimapur and submit on or before September 10, 2017. KMC for clean pigsty, poultry sheds

Kohima, September 1 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has issued a notice stating that unhygienic rearing and maintenance of pigsty and backyard poultry farms are creating “nuisance/menace” to the nearby localities in most of the wards/colonies under the jurisdiction of KMC. Therefore, KMC has directed all concerned to maintain cleanliness in and around their pigsty and poultry sheds with immediate effect. The Panchayats have also been requested to inspect, streamline and report to the Administrator, Kohima Municipal Council for necessary action to be taken against the defaulters as per the law.


NSCA supports 7-point resolution of ACAUT rally

Kohima, September 1 (MExN): The Nagaland Senior Citizens Association (NSCA) at its emergency meeting held on August 31 considered and discussed the 7-point resolution adopted on August 25, 2017 during the Naga people’s rally in Dimapur. After a serious deliberation, it resolved to totally support the 7 points resolution, NSCA president, Dr. S Imkong Tushi Ao and general secretary, S Ghunakha stated in a press release. It also appealed to all the stakeholders to honour the demands made stating it is important as the act of “Magna Carta,1215” and the “Sepoy Mutiny, 1857” to unleash justice and progress for the people.


KMC to start pet shelter

Kohima, September 1 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) as envisaged under Sec 58(j) of the Nagaland Municipal Act 2001 is starting a pet shed cum dog pound in the interest of public service. In this regard, the KMC along with the Angami Students’ Union (ASU) will conduct a sensitization programme for the wards under KMC on September 6, 11:00 am at the conference hall of KMC, a press release informed. All wards Chairmen and secretaries have been requested to attend the programme.


Bike recovered

Hebron, September 1 (MExN): The Union Territory-1 of NSCN (IM) has recovered two-wheeler (Yamaha R15). The details of the bike are: Color- white, Engine number- 3882003325, Chassis number- ME138B02YA20003420. The rightful owner has been asked to claim the bike from the UT-1 office after producing genuine documents within seven days from the date of this publication. Claim after the stipulated time will not be entertained, stated a press release from MIP, NSCN (IM).


Training & demo held for farmers in Gaili village

Peren, September 1 (MExN): One day training and demonstration on bio-composting and value addition of fish was conducted by ATMA Peren block at Gaili village on August 31. Kewichamsi Kaurinta, ATM trained the farmers on method of bio-composting and also spoke on its advantages. He urged the farmers to practice composting as it is cheap and also one of the easiest methods. Mapeuheile Ndang, AO and Convenor demonstrated on value addition of fish to the same group of farmers. Around 25 farmers from different SHGs participated in the programme, which concluded with remarks from Lhaihoichong Singson, BTM, Peren block.
