Spiritual awakening crusade in Kohima

Kohima, September 5 (MExN): With the objective of spreading the message of peace, unity and reconciliation among Sumi believers, Churches, and all people, the Sumi Christian Fellowship is organizing a Spiritual Awakening Crusade from September 8-10, 2017 at NBCC Convention Centre, Kohima under the theme, “Heal us, O Lord.” Rev. Dr. Ed Citronnelli (Senior Pastor, World Healing International, New York USA), Rev Dr. Shiwoto Assumi (Pastor, NCRC-Sumi, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur) and Rev Dr. Hevukhu Achumi (ES, WSBAK) will be the crusade speakers. The organizers have cordially invited all Sumi Pastors irrespective of denominations and church affiliations to the crusade. Mangkolemba SDPDB meet held

Mangkolemba, September 5 (DIPR): Mangkolemba SDPDB meeting for the month of September was held on September 5, under the chairmanship of ADC & Vice Chairman, SDPDB, Imtiwapang Aier. Agendas the diversion of PWD road at Warumong Village,construction of approach roads from Yachang-A Village to Milak river bridge (19 km) along Japukong range, under PWD (R&B) were discussed and approved for consideration of the higher authority. The Chairman also apprised of the situation between Assam and Nagaland at Tzurokong circle under Mangkolemba division.

 

Schedule for Special Summary Revision

Mokokchung, September 5 (DIPR): In pursuance to the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland, Additional Deputy Commissioner & Electoral Registration Officer, Mokokchung, Sachin Jaiswal, has informed that the schedule for Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls, with reference to 01-01-2018 as the qualifying date will be as follows:

Draft publication of rolls on 03-10-2017; Period for filling claims and objections 03-10-2017 to 31-10-2017; Reading of relevant part/section of photo, Electoral Rolls in local bodies meetings etc., and verifications of name 13-10-2017 and 27-10-2017; Special campaign dates with Booth Level Agents of political parties for receiving claims and objection 14-10-2017 and 28-10-2017; Disposal of claims and objections by 30-11-2017; Updating the database, merging of photographs, updating the control tables and preparation and printing of supplementary list by 20-12-2017; and Final publication of Electoral Rolls on 05-01-2018.

 

Special Summary Revision at Peren from October

Peren, September 5 (DPR): As part of the Youth Voter’s Festival (ECI), Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign seminar was held at Peren Government College on 4th September, 2017. The programme was organised by the District Election Office, Peren in collaboration with Peren Government College, Team One and Higher Secondary Schools, Peren Town.

Resource person, Vice Principal, Peren Government College, Albert spoke on the Topic “Increasing Qualitative participation in terms of Ethical and informed Voting”. Assistant Election Officer (AEO), Nathan Konyak delivered the introductory speech and apprised that the Special Summary Revision will begin from October. Assistant Professor, Dr. Kekuchol Pusa gave the concluding remarks. The programme was chaired by HoD (History) and Nodal Officer, Heiramchube Liegise.
