PHH, AAY beneficiaries informed

Dimapur, September 13 (MExN): The Priority Household (PHH) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act 2013 in Dimapur district have been directed to submit photocopy of ration card, photocopy of Aadhaar of the ration card holders as well as photocopy of Aadhaar of the family members as listed in the ration cards to the respective fair price shops/village councils from September 20 to 27. A press release from N. Jamonger Ao, Assistant Director, Food and Civil Supplies directed all the urban Fair Price Shops under Dimapur district to open their respective FPS on the given dates from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm to facilitate the beneficiaries. The village councils/ GBs/ colony chairmen have also been requested to inform the beneficiaries of their respective area, colony in regard to this.


32 AR apprehend alleged arms dealer

Dimapur, September 13 (MExN): 32 Assam Rifles apprehended a person with one .32 mm pistol (Made in Germany) with magazine and 480 SP capsules on September 11 at Signal Basti, Dimapur. The search operation was launched based on specific information regarding presence of an arms dealer in the area, according to a press release from Assam Rifles. The apprehended person identified as Puloka Achumi (37) along with the recovered items was handed over to Urban Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation.


AR organize awareness prog

Tuensang, September 13 (MExN): 15 Assam Rifles organised awareness programme on ‘Drugs Free Nagaland’ at Christian High School, Noklak on September 8. The aim of the programme was to give knowledge about narcotics, drugs, tobacco and its addiction and negative impact on physical and mental health, stated a release from PRO, HQ IGAR (North).
