EO Pughoboto briefs on election activities

Pughoboto, February 8 (DIPR): Joint Secretary (Energy), Gujarat, Mahesh I. Patel, IAS, the Election General Observer of the 13th Pughoboto AC for the General Election to the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly reported for duty on February 7. NDPP ‘welcomes’ 15

Dimapur, February 8 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) today ‘welcomed’ 15 members from the NPF Dimapur Division Women Wing. The 15 women resigned and declared their support to the NDPP under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio and Chingwang Konyak, a press release from the NDPP’s Media and Communication Committee stated.


Observer meets RO & Sector Magistrate

Bhandari, February 8 (DIPR): General Observer for 39th and 40th Assembly Constituencies, Rajeev Sharma, IAS, held a meeting with the RO and Sector Magistrates of AC-40, Bhandari, on February 8, at the office chamber of the ADC & RO, Bhandari. The Observer apprised of the bounden roles and duties of the officials besides taking a firsthand assessment of preparedness for the upcoming Assembly Elections. One held under Drugs & Cosmetics Act

Wokha, February 8 (MExN): The Wokha Excise Personnel on February 7 recovered 7000 capsules of Spasmo proxyvon and 3180 tablets of nitrazepam from the house of one Lichithung Ngullie, a resident of Tsumang B colony. The accused has been arrested and booked under relevant sections of the Drugs and Cosmetic Act 1940 and the case has been forwarded to judicial custody.


RSU Union Assembly on Feb 10

Tseminyu, February 8 (MExN): The Rengma Students’ Union (RSU) will be having its First Union Assembly for the tenure 2017-2019 at its Headquarters: RSU Office, Tseminyu on February 10, 10:00 am. All Unit Presidents, Sub-unit Presidents, Executives and Seniors have been asked to attend the meeting.


Sanitation fee enhanced in Kohima

Kohima, February 8 (MExN): Administrator of Kohima Municipal Council (KMC), Kethosituo Sekhose has informed all the traders within KMC jurisdiction that the sanitation fee will be enhanced from Rs. 750 to Rs. 1000 per year with immediate effect.


NPF Satakha unit resigns en masse

Zunheboto, February 8 (MExN): The NPF’s 36 Satakha A/C have resigned en masse. According to a press release from the unit’s Working President V. Hewoto Chophy and General Secretary Hushito Zhimomi, the en masse resignation included officials of the parent body, youth, women and farmer’s wing of the party unit and Vice President NPF Central Kakuto Shohe.  Others who resigned included district executive members and 40 members of the party’s village unit comprising chairman, secretary and primary and active members, the release added. The release further informed that all the members who resigned have joined the Janata Dal United (JD-U) in support of G. Kaito Aye “for peace, prosperity, progress and development.”
