DC & DEO Tuensang notifies on bye-election

Tuensang, May 17 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer of Tuensang, L Jamithung Lotha has issued an order stating all the government vehicles under the concerned departments have been requisitioned for Lok Sabha bye-election duty with immediate effect. The concerned officers have been instructed to report /submit their vehicles along with driver on May 21 at the Parade Ground, Tuensang Town. The DC & DEO also notified that the applicants for exemption from election duties on medical ground will be examined by District Level Medical Board on May 18 from 10:00 am onwards at the office of the Chief Medical Officer, Tuensang. No application for exemption on medical ground will be entertained thereafter.

 

DC & DEO Dimapur informs

Dimapur, May 17 (DIPR): DC & DEO Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel, IAS in a press release directed all the polling personnel detailed for the by-election duty to Nagaland Parliamentary Constituency 2018 to attend the 2nd phase training which will be held at Dimapur Government College, Dimapur on May 19. He said that the training will be held from 10am to 1pm for Presiding Officers & 1st polling officers and from 2pm to 4pm for all the Polling personnel including grade IV staff for group familiarization. He further stated that failure to attend the training shall be viewed seriously and strict action shall be initiated against the absentees as per the Representation of the People’s Act 1950 and Conduct of Election Rules 1961.

 

2nd round training for polling personnel in Wokha

Wokha, May 17 (MExN): District Election Officer & Deputy Commissioner of Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon (IAS) has informed that the second round of training for polling personnel drafted for bye-election duty has been fixed on May 21 and 22 at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Wokha from 10:00 am onwards. The training of Presiding Officers and 1st Polling Officers will be held on May 21, and 2nd and 3rd Polling Officers will be trained on May 22. All polling personnel have been informed to attend the training without fail. Disciplinary action shall be initiated against the absentees as per the relevant section of law, it was warned. The DC further notified that the third and final round of training for polling personnel will be held on May 25 at GHSS Wokha from 10:00 am onwards.

 

ANHTU informs

DIMAPUR, MAY 17 (MExN): The All Nagaland Hindi Teachers Union (ANHTU) in a meeting on April 27 has resolved to collect a sum of Rs. 1500 from all Hindi Teachers in Nagaland for the celebration of the Hindi Diwas. A press release from the Convenor, Ruchunlo Tep and General Secretary, A.S. Yarthotngam stated that the amount will be deducted from the salary of May.

 

MARCOFED board meeting venue changed

Dimapur, May 17 (MExN): All the members of the Board of Directors of MARCOFED Ltd. have been informed that the venue for the 102nd meeting of the Board of Directors scheduled to be held on May 25 at 11:00 am has been changed from the office chamber of the Chairman, MARCOFED Ltd. HQ Dimapur to the Co-operative Training Centre, Medziphema. The Managing Director of MARCOFED Ltd. has requested all members to attend the meeting positively.

Tenyiphe Village Council warns

Dimapur, May 17 (MExN): The Village Council of Tenyiphe-II in a meeting has warned against the sale and purchase of land within the village jurisdiction without knowledge and approval of the Village Council. A press release from the Chairman, Rünavilhou Kin, stated that the decision was taken in order to avoid any complications or misunderstanding in future. The council further stated that any person\ persons purchasing any land within the jurisdiction without the consent of the Council shall be doing at his or her own risk, henceforth the council has also warned that such land dispute cases arising thereafter shall not be entertained in any manner.

 

Public accounts Committee meet postponed

Dimapur, May 17 (MExN): The Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee through a press release from Benjamin Newmai, Commissioner & Secretary has informed that the First Meeting of the Committee has been postponed to May 23 in view of the Lok Sabha Bye-Election.

 

Healing Crusade in Tuensang

TUENSANG, MAY 17 (MExN): A healing crusade organized by International Evangelistic Fellowship (IEF), Tuensang Unit commenced on May 16 at Tuensang Town Baptist Church with Lima Imsong (Missionary) and Rev Zotuo Kiewhuo, senior pastor & founder Koinonia Baptist Church as the main speakers.
A press release stated that on the first day, Rev Zotuo spoke on the blessing of the cross and added that “we are able to obtain forgiveness, redemption, reconciliation, healing and prosperity.” Many People testified of physical ailments.
On the second day, Lima Imsong shared the word of God and various sessions were conducted by Ruokuotuo Kuotsu, Khriezovolie Suokhrie and Menuosielie Üsou. The session will conclude on May 18 with Rev Zotuo Kiewhuo as the main speaker.
