Assamese community condemns lynching

Dimapur, June 10 (MExN): The Assamese Community of Dimapur today condemned the gruesome murder of two youths of Guwahati by a mob on June 8 at Karbi Anglong, Assam and requested all the right thinking citizens to see the incident as “crime against humanity rather than against any community or religion.” In a press release issued by its convenor Mukibur Rahman, the Assamese Community of Dimapur also requested the public not to share the image of the incident on social media or any other platform and help the administration to normalize the situation. It also congratulated Assam government and police for their prompt action in arresting the accused.

 

Nagaland Post Editor-in-Chief and staff offer condolences

Dimapur, June 10 (MExN): Editor-in-Chief and staff of Nagaland Post have expressed sadness over the demise of Kolie Kire, father of Mhalezolie Kire, Editor Capi. “We know that the loss of a dear one, especially a parent is indeed painful and we offer our deepest condolences,” they stated in a message. They hoped and prayed that the Almighty God grant strength and solace to Mhale and his family to overcome their grief and the soul of the departed find eternal rest and peace.

 

VBS Summer Bible Camp

Dimapur, June 10 (MExN): NEI VBS Christian Education Ministries is conducting VBS Summer Bible Camp at Longleng Town Christian School from June 16 to 19. The same programme will be held at Kangching Baptist Church from June 20 to 24. This year’s VBS theme is ‘The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge & wisdom’ (Proverbs 1:7, 9:10). A press release from NEI VBS director, H Hammei Büchemhü has requested all the parents/guardians to send their children to attend the programme. There will be prizes for best discipline, merit students, best teacher etc, the release added. The participants were also asked to bring bible, notebook, pen, water etc.

 

WSKH says case involving executive member settled

Dimapur, June 10 (MExN): The Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) has informed all concerned that the case involving Lhovishe Achum (GB), executive member, WSKH & vice president, Aghunato Kukami Kuqhakulu and Thsabeu Angami, deputy kilonser, NSCN (IM) was “amicably resolved and settled” on June 10 afternoon. The Hoho in a press release informed that the issue was “peacefully settled among the two parties by the family members, relatives and respective village (Shena Old and Viswema) authorities of the two individuals.” Therefore, WSKH has appealed to all to “desist from making any comments on this issue on social media such as Facebook and WhatsApp that could create confusion among the people as the matter has been resolved.” Meanwhile, the Hoho lauded both the parties for coming to understanding and settling the issue in true Christian spirit.

 

ANATG informs to submit membership fee
