Ad-hoc teachers’ protest receives support
DIMAPUR, JUNE 13 (MExN): The All Nagaland Ad-hoc Teacher’s Group (ANATG) 2015 Batch, Dimapur unit today lent support to the ongoing agitation of the central ANATG 2015 Batch. “We will continue to support and exercise our rights in the form of agitation till the government fulfills our demand. We have been patiently rendering our service for the past 7-9 years with just a meager salary of Rs. 6700 (P/T) and Rs. 8400 (G/T) without any other benefits and have waited enough in spite of fulfilling all the conditions, criteria, and formalities,” a press note from the unit general secretary, Kughalu Swu stated. It said that the concerned authority “knowing the fact that the PSAN and ACAUT have no objection over our regularization matter is still delaying our regularization.” It therefore appealed to the government “not to make further excuses and look into our aggrieved matter with topmost priority.”
NSCA urges to ‘meticulously’ consider NSSATA demands
Dimapur, June 13 (MExN): The Nagaland Senior Citizens Association (NSCA) today urged the government to “meticulously” consider the demands of Nagaland SSA Teachers’ Association (NSSATA) “in the interest of the motivational service of the teachers and welfare of the students in particular who are so called the backbone of the nation.” A press release from NSCA president, Dr. SI Tushi Ao and general secretary, S Ghunakha Swu asserted, “NSCA is of the firm view that the demands of the NSSATA is a genuine one.” While also supporting the NSSATA agitation which was suspended on June 12, NSCA admitted that “strike is the legacy left by the freedom fighter for liberation or rights whatsoever.”
SUD, ZCD postpone public rally
Dimapur, June 13 (MExN): Sangtam Union Dimapur (SUD) and Zeme Council Dimapur (ZCD) have resolved to postpone the proposed public rally which was scheduled for June 15 at DDSC Stadium, Dimapur. This decision was made during an emergency meeting of the two organizations on June 13, informed a press release from SUD president, Er, YH Sangtam and president, Ngauloibej. The rally was related to the recent Dimapur triple murder case.
Kohima DPDB meeting
Kohima, June 13 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman, DPDB Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan (IAS) has informed that the monthly District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting and felicitation programme for HSLC examination topper 2018 amongst Government High Schools of Kohima district will be held on June 15 at 10:00 am in the DPDB conference hall.
