Maligaon, September 7 (MExN): Nand Kishore Sahu, Station Manager, Altagram and Totan Saha, Gateman of Alipurduar division were awarded by Chahatey Ram, General Manager, NF Railway on September 7 for displaying exemplary devotion to duty. A press note from the NF Railway informed that while performing duty on July 4, 2017, Nand Kishore Sahu, Station Manager, Altagram found smoke coming from a coach of Down Avadh Assam Express and immediately displayed red hand signal. The train was stopped by brake in Altagram- Betgara section. Totan Saha,Gateman of Alipurduar division while performing duty on July 11 reported a hanging part in a wagon of train number UP NGC Auto. The train was stopped and the issue rectified by the concerned guard and point man of Fakiragram. The General Manger appreciated them for their devotion to duty and asked them to become role models for their fellow workers.
