NFR to restore four more trains

Maligaon, September 4 (MExN): The North East Frontier Railway (NFR) on Monday announced that it will be introducing four more passenger trains shortly.


It may be mentioned here that the flood damaged portion of track on the UP line along with bridge no 133 between Sudhani and Telta station was certified fit for train running on August 29 and the first goods train in the restored section has been running from the same day, according to a press release from the NFR.


Passenger trains started plying from September 2 with resumption of Rajdhani Express, North East Express, Kamrup Express and Kolkata – Radhikapur Express. Kanchanjungha Express will also to be restored from September 7, the NFR informed.


The restoration work is in progress and the situation is being monitored, the NFR added.


The trains (both up & down) to be restored are:
