NGBF appreciates assurances given by Union Home Minister

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 5 (MExN): The Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) has expressed gratitude to Union Home Minister Amit Shah for inviting all the civil and political leaders from Nagaland to deliberate on Citizenship (Amendment) Bill on December 3 in Delhi. At the same time, it also appreciated the assurance given by the Union Home Minister to exempt all the ILP zones including 6th schedule in the North East. 


It further expressed satisfaction over the “consultation tradition of Government of India” in every issue under the leadership of Narendra Modi. In the august gathering, all the civil organizations and political leaders unanimously urged the Union Home Minister to exempt Nagaland from the purview of CAB, a press statement issued by NGBF stated.

 
It also expressed appreciation to all the Naga Leaders for coming together to express in one voice against the CAB. We do acknowledge the maturity and sincerity of our leaders irrespective of different political parties and ideology, endeavor in unison for the common goal, the press statement added.
