NIDA supports demand for 7th RP implementation

DIMAPUR, MARCH 26 (MExN): The Nagaland In-service Doctors Association (NIDA) has extended its support to the demands spearheaded by CANSSEA for the implementation of 7th ROP from March 1, 2017.

“When it comes to taking away from the employees, the government acts promptly but when it comes to giving, it makes all sorts of excuses,” a press note from the association said. It reminded that last year when centre reduced the interest rates given to the government servants for GPF deposits, the state “promptly acted and reduced the interest rates for GPF deposits in line with the centre citing the reason that we follow Central Pay Commission.”

“So when it comes to implementing the 7th ROP from the Central Pay Commission, it should also respond promptly in a positive manner,” it stated.

The NIDA further asked those employees in Nagaland state drawing Central Government salary to “kindly support this demand as we are all affected equally by the inflation of the market and we all buy from the same shop.”

It informed that NIDA will take part in all forms of activities/agitations proposed in the fight for the implementation of 7th ROP. “We have decided to take part in the pen-down strike called by CANSSEA. In this regard, hospital work/patients care will continue as usual but apart from this in all other functions we will observe pen-down strike along with other associations,” it added.
