Rajpura, September 19 (MExN): The North East (NE) Students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura organized a Fresher’s Meet for the newcomers at its campus.
S Akashdeep Aulakh, DSP, Rajpura was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function.
NE students of various departments including Engineering, Law, Management, Agriculture, Nursing etc participated in various activities representing the colors of the seven sisters, a press release from Media Coordinator stated.
DSP Aulakh while appreciating the effort of the students said that the Rajpura-Patiala belt is the education belt in Punjab. Students from various states residing in this region “are our guests and maintaining the law and order in the region for these students is our prime duty,” he said.
Dr Kataria appreciated the students for hosting all the Northeast students. He said that Aryans has become the popular destination for the North East students near Chandigarh, adding that over 500 students are studying in Aryans.
Jangal Yangda (B.Sc Agri) of Arunachal Pradesh was the event organizer. Students namely Edap (Meghalaya), Chumbroba (Nagaland), Showchi (Tripura), Mahas (Assam) etc enthralled the audience with their performances.
James Hijam and Hikili shohe of B Sc (Agri) 1st semester were nominated as the Mister and Miss North East of Aryans Group of Colleges among the North East.
