Dimapur, April 27 (MExN): The 2nd edition of two-day long, Northeast Fiesta - showcasing the cultural diversity of all the states of Northeast to all the people of Punjab, was held in Jalandhar from April 22-24. Organized by Northeast Students’ Organization, Jalandhar (NSOJ), the fiesta featured folk dance, folk song, handloom, art exhibition, photography exhibition and discussion session presented from all the eight states, informed a press note from NSOJMedia and Publicity Secretary Komal Chutia. Celebrity singers from Northeast and Punjab enthralled the audience with their folk numbers and to added vibrancy to the event, it said adding that this year’s cultural celebration mainly focused on the fusion of the Northeast diversified culture with the rich culture of Punjab. Well-known designers from Northeast such as Doichong Buchem and Piketo Y Zhimo from Nagaland showcased their rich traditional designs in this event, it added.
