NPF Dimapur holds consultative meeting

Dimapur, May 16 (MExN): Gearing up to face the ensuing parliamentary bye-election 2018, the NPF Dimapur division held a consultative meeting with the NPF party workers of the district on May 15 at its office.  

A press release from Debendra Rana, General Secretary, NPF Minority Wing Central stated that NPF candidate for the bye-election, C Apok Jamir challenged the party workers that time has come to prove that NPF represents the voice of Naga people by ensuring victory of the party through collective effort with conviction and determination. He assured to live up to the expectations of the people.  

Speaking on the occasion, NPF MLA Moatoshi Longkumer told the party workers that the forthcoming bye-polls will be a stepping towards the success of NPF to bring about a change of equality and transparency in the State. He also highlighted the district wise party position prior to bye-election, said the release.  

Dr. Kevingulie Khro, former NPF candidate, Pusazo Luruo, vice president, NPF Central Dimapur division in-charge, and presidents of all frontals under Dimapur division delivered short speeches, the release added.  

According to the release, the meeting also welcomed the new office bearers of NPF 4 Ghaspani-I A/C. With the unanimous decision to merge with the NPF party and support C Apok Jamir in the bye-election by the supporters of former Independent candidate of 4 Ghaspani-I A/C, the NPF Dimapur has reconstituted the NPF party setup of Ghaspani-I with immediate effect with Arsapa Chophi as president and Zuben Lotha as general secretary.  

NPF Minority Wing supports Apok Jamir’s candidature

NPF Minority Wing held a special coordination meeting within its members from central and division on May 15 at the Dimapur party office. The Minority Wing welcomed and supported the candidature of Apok Jamir for approaching Lok Sabha bye-election on May 28. The house resolved to work unitedly to face the election with best of its capacity. Bhattacharjee, President Minority Wing, Central requested all party worker and well-wishers to stand united and work together for NPF, the oldest regional party of North East. A temporary working committee of NPF Minority Wing for five ACs under Dimapur district was also constituted, wherein Sanjay Dey was selected as the Convenor for the period of Lok Sabha bye-election.
