Mokokchung, February 24 (MExN): With only two days left for the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly election, the Naga People’s Front (NPF), Mokokchung division has appealed to all the eligible voters to participate in the election process by “exercising our God given right to universal adult franchise, to decide our own future by our own self, by prayerfully voting for the right party.”
In a press release issued by its president, Moasangba Jamir, the NPF Mokokchung division maintained, “NPF is the only true Naga regional political party that has been steadfastly safeguarding the rights and identity of the Naga people since 1963. The party with the cock symbol is the only legitimate Naga political party that is dedicated to resolving the Indo-Naga political problem.”
“True to our commitment,” it said, “we stood by the call for 'Solution before Election' slogan till the last minute at the peril of risking another repetition of 1998.”
Meanwhile, NPF Mokokchung division expressed its support for ABAM/NBCC call for Clean Election. It further appealed for peaceful elections.
“It is our humble prayer that the people would realize the imminent danger of voting the wrong candidate. We beseech the people of Mokokchung to elect the NPF candidate in all the 10 assembly constituencies and proudly lead the way in transforming Nagaland towards a new vision, a new image and a new future,” it appealed.
