NPF ridicules NDPP’s ‘child like attitude’

Kohima, May 19 (MExN): The Naga People’s Front (NPF) today ridiculed the “NDPP’s child like attitude for meddling and commenting on anything and everything which is not at all concern for their party or to their PDA Government.”

In a press release issued by its Press Bureau, NPF asserted that any steps “initiated by the NPF party is purely the prerogative of the NPF party.”

However, the hiccups of the NDPP indicate a sure sign of confusion and mistrust that runs deep in their party set up and also with their coalition partners, the release added.

“The decision taken on the 18th of May by the NPF Party along with the 4 MLAs of Manipur is solely to do with the NPF party and it is the party’s prerogative to take decisions which is best for the party whether it is in Nagaland, Arunachal or Manipur State,” it countered.

The release further claimed that the four NPF MLAs have been one of the pillars on which the N Biren Singh government stood, however, the BJP led government failed to acknowledge this very fact and failed to fulfill the commitments given to the NPF party and its MLAs.

The NPF party along with the Manipur Unit has on consensus taken decisions which the party felt is need of the hour.

“Unlike the NDPP which practices dictatorship-like set up and unilateral decisions that are taken by the leader with no questions asked…the NPF party has a democratic set up and decisions are taken after proper and thorough deliberation,” it maintained.

The NPF further questioned the NDPP on why it was fretting over the decision of the NPF party in the State of Manipur.

“There is no presence of NDPP in Manipur and the decisions of the NPF will in no way have an impact whatsoever to their party. Further, the BJP is not in alliance with the NPF in Nagaland as the BJP has formally severed ties with us after the formation of PDA government.”

The present scenario where NDPP, which cannot take decisions on their own for the party “but needs to consult and listen to the directives of the BJP high command, needs to sort their house first before pointing fingers at others,” it directed.

Further slamming the ruling party, it said that “the so called NDPP led PDA government is a de facto BJP led government and the NDPP leadership is a mere puppet on the stage set by the BJP.”

“The false spirit of coalition by the NDPP was laid bare for the world to see when the NDPP had swallowed up its own coalition partner’s candidate for the Aonglendeng constituency by-election. The icing on the cake was when the two NPP candidates were convinced to merge into NDPP,” it added.

If BJP fails to come back to power at the centre on May 23, the NDPP may likely to “apply the same tactic as they have done to NPP” to retain the power, it predicted.

Meanwhile, the NPF advised the NDPP led Government “to be sincere enough in their approach and committed to their promises and carry forward the welfare of the state so that our state is benefitted from their government.”
