MLA Chotisuh Sazo today challenged the party workers to stand firm and preserve the cock symbol for the Nagas.

Speaking at the NPF sit-in protest here which entered seventh day today, he said someone is trying to break and freeze the party and in the course of such action, the governor of Nagaland “unconstitutionally dismissed the constitutionally installed government of Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu and also summoned the Assembly session violating assembly rules.”

He said the Speaker of Nagaland “unconstitutionally” accepted the whip of TR Zeliang appointed by the legislature party violating the Constitution of India, the 10th schedule and the NPF constitutions.

“If the speaker follows the rules and constitution, dharna of NPF will not happen. All the situation is created by the constitutional head not following the constitution,” he alleged.

“Should we allow all these unlawful activities in our land or should we allow unconstitutional government to rule over us, I think it is high time we should protest and remove all these unlawful activities,” said Sazo.

He challenged the party workers to stand up together and fight for justice.

The court hearing regarding whip of the NPF has been again extended till November 28.

On November 1, the sit-in protest will start from 12 noon.
