NPF unit on withdrawal of nomination by candidate

Kohima, February 20 (MExN): The NPF of 11 Northern Angami – II A/C has termed it “unfortunate” that its candidate, Chüpfüo Angami, had withdrawn his nomination for the 13th Nagaland legislative assembly election “at the eleventh hour on ground of his critical health conditions without the approval of the A/C office bearers due to time factor which is a fact.”   Consequently, the office bearers and all rank and file of the unit will not bear the responsibilities of the said incident, in confirmation with the decision taken on February 13, resolved a joint meeting of the officials and all rank and file of the NPF, 11 Northern Angami – II A/C held in its Kohima office on February 20.  

“However, the A/C office bearers and NPF party rank and file will continue to support the NPF party wholeheartedly and extend our services in whatever activities of the party,” the meeting further decided, according to a press release from the general secretary, Vilasalie Angami and acting president, Zeneivi Chase of NPF, 11 Northern Angami – II A/C.
