With the arrival of the “benevolent Christmas season an Advent Christmas" programme is being organized under the theme “Peace on Earth and Goodwill towards men” under the aegis of the Naga People’s Organisation (NPO) on December 5 at the Senapati district headquarter.
According to the organizing committee, the programme will begin with caroling on National Highway – 2 and also on inter village roads in Senapati district headquarter from 1:30 pm. The programme will conclude with a session of entertainment and carol singing by choirs, local talents and invitee participants, according to the organizing committee.
It then informed that there will be gift exchanges by “disadvantaged children”, dignitaries and community leaders. The committee further informed that all the participants will “partake of Christmas cake and community meal”.
The NPO then “invites the heart-warming participation of civil society organizations of all communities in the State to join us in celebrating the season of peace and goodwill”.
