NRE bids farewell to director Er. TS Angami

The Department of New & Renewable Energy (NRE) Nagaland today bade farewell to Er. T. S. Angami, director NRE who retired on superannuation on February 28 last.  

In a farewell programme held here at Hotel Vivor, outgoing director Er. T.S. Angami thanked all the officers and staff of the department for extending their unflinching support towards the successful execution and completion of the several projects during his tenure.  

Stating that the cabinet has already approved the service rules of the department, he urged upon the officers to pursue the same vigorously for finalization.   He also asked the officers to go ahead with the file for creation of new posts, saying that the department was facing shortage of manpower.  

Further, he called upon the officers to draw the attention of the Ministry on unnecessary pending of the projects and to ensure speedy execution of the projects in the state.  

Er. Kimaba, joint director NRE in his speech said that under the directorship of Er. T.S. Angami, many solar power plants have been installed in the Nagaland civil secretariat, directorates and other institutions.  

Three hydro projects have also been completed. Further, solar lights at subsidized rate have been extended to many towns and villages across the state.  

Stating that the department has also been conferred with many national awards for undertaking several notable works and activities, he maintained that the credit for all such pride goes to Er. T.S. Angami.  

Congratulating Er. T.S. Angami for completing the tenure service, Er. Lanu Toy, Retd chief engineer Power was hopeful that the later would continue to extend his invaluable service for well being of the society in many ways.  

Sekholun, joint secretary NRE described Er. T.S. Angami as a man of action adding that his good deeds and sincerity for the growth of the department will be always remembered by the officers and staff.  

Keneizelie Kire, UDA NRE said that Er. T.S. Angami has contributed immensely to the department and wished him all success in future endeavour.  

“You have made us discipline in our works,” said Er. James Khala, vice president SANRED adding that the department has been gaining momentum because of the good service extended by Er. T.S. Angami.  

Also lauding Er. T.S. Angami for his strong determination and commitment in taking the NRE department forward, Er. Khose Sale was hopeful that he will continue to work for the betterment of the society.  

The programme was chaired by Er. Kavito Chishi, additional director NRE while Er. Renilo Nuh, deputy director NRE proposed vote of thanks.
