NSA opens ‘Kohima Regional Unit’

Kohima, June 20 (MExN): The Naga Scholars’ Association (NSA) has opened its ‘Kohima Regional Unit’ and nominated the Executive Council with Dr. Zavise Rume and Dr. Kholia as President and General Secretary respectively.  

NSA President Dr. Zuchamo Yanthan and General Secretary Dr. Lungthuiyang Riamei informed in a press release that the event was held at The Heritage, Kohima on June 17.  

In the opening event, NSA President while briefing the gathering on the objectives of the association emphasised the significance and relevance of the NSA for the Naga society.  

Dr. R. Vashum, Advisor, NSA exhorted on the importance and responsibility of the association to respond to the needs of the scholars and the Naga society at large.  

Dr. R. Vashum and Dr. Zuchamo administered the installation of the new executive council.  

“The event is very significant in view of being the first regional chapter being established in the Naga soil as NSA is presently headquartered in Delhi with members spread across the globe,” added the NSA press release.
