NSCB Adopt Singrijan Village

Dimapur, July 10 (MExN): Under the financial Inclusion programme as declared by the government of India and the state government, the Nagaland State Cooperative Bank has adopted Singrijan village as a model village on July 9. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the bank led by Managing Director of NSCB BK Thadani and the village council of Singrijan Village and NSA branch of the bank.
“With a view to extend all types of agricultural  loan to the farming community to improve the socio economic condition of the rural people through SHG & JLG, the bank had taken up village adoption program in the rural areas of Nagaland,” Nodal Officer (MFC) V K Disong informed in a note today.
In this connection, the Singrijan Village Council organized a meeting. Thadani advised the villagers to utilize the facilities provided by the bank judiciously so that the bank and the villagers would benefit.  Senior Manager of NSA Branch Mehopi Kera also spoke during the occasion and expressed happiness in “adopting” the village. He suggested that the village should have its VDB account c maintained in the branch. Heera Chettri, an officer of the bank, also spoke at the meeting.
