NSCN (IM) on August 20 shooting incident

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 21 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has accused Defense Kilonser and Supervisor UT Dimapur of NSCN (R), Khekato Kinny of being involved in the murder of Lieutenant Col Toishe Yeptho of Naga Army on August 16 at Unity Colony, Purana Bazaar-B Dimapur.

In this connection, an MIP release stated the NSCN (IM) members led by Col Khehoto went to Khekato’s residence to inquire and asserted that there was “no order to shoot Khekato.”

According to the NSCN (IM), “guilty conscience took control of Khekato who directed his boys not to entertain Col Khehoto into his house and in panic started firing from behind the gate forcing our boys to retaliate.” The NSCN (IM) also maintained that during investigation, it got hold of one of his men who spilled out that Khekato’s hand involved in the murder of Lt Col Toishe. However, the NSCN (IM) said it was not in their “mission to kill Khekato.” The NSCN (IM), however said that it would leave no stone unturned to take the case to its logical conclusion.
