While stating that the Phom people in general and the Phom Naga national workers in particular have invested time, lives and resources to save the Naga nation, it added, “The essence of Naga national struggle is to live together as one and free from control by others.”

It said that the Nagas are Nagas are fortunate to have leaders like the late Chairman Isak Chishi Swu, present Chairman Q. Tuccu, Vice Chairman T Wangnao and General Secretary Th. Muivah, supported by committed national workers.

According to the CAO, the seven decades of Naga political struggle and the 22 years of Indo-Naga political talks that followed have taken the Indian authorities to understand the truth of the Naga history and their political right.

“This eventually brings us to the year 2002 when Government of India gave recognition to the uniqueness of Naga history and situation. Based on this, the historic Framework Agreement was signed on 3rd August, 2015. In the talks that followed so much has been achieved,” it said.
