NSCN (R) seizes ‘waste bags’ of BPL rice

Mon, July 26 (MExN): NSCN (R) today informed that it has seized 190 “waste bags” of BPL rice from a truck (full body) bearing registration number NL03-A- 1467 bound for Jorhat, Assam at its check post in Mon.   A press release from MIP, NSCN/ GPRN (R) alleged that the BPL rice were probably sold to one shopkeeper in Mon. “These are the practices of selfish staff and few kingpins,” it stated.   The release said that the vehicle carrying the waste bags will remain under the custody of NSCN (R) check post till the issue is resolved.   Meanwhile, NSCN (R) alleged that the BPL rice, wheat, and Atta sanctioned monthly to Nagaland by the Central government do not reach the poor public because of “selfish staff and few kingpins” who misuse the public supplies for their "selfish interest."
