NSF serves one month ultimatum to set up SSB

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 21 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has served an ultimatum to the Nagaland Government to set up the Staff Selection Board (SSB) within one month. 


In an ultimatum addressed to the Chief Minister, the Federation reminded that it had submitted a memorandum on June 11, 2019 to the Chief Minister for setting up of SSB within a period of two months. Despite the deadline having lapsed on August 12, 2019, the Federation said it was yet to receive any official communication from the state government neither has any favourable development in tune with the demand been reported. 


In this connection, the Federation has served another month ultimatum for setting up the SSB along with a charter of demands which include- (a) issue notification banning all recruitments to ‘group C’ posts until the implementation of SSB by the state government, (b) Issue notification for scrapping down of departmental exams for recruitment to ‘group c’ posts and (c) all existing vacancies be filled through open examination.
