NSF serves ultimatum to CM

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 18 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has submitted an ultimatum to the Nagaland State Chief Minister demanding that the state cabinet nullify its decision dated September 11 regarding the absorption of one post of Assistant Director to Women Resource Development Department from Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) who was serving as Assistant Academic Officer.

The NSF informed that despite repeated appealed from the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) through the Office of the Chief Secretary, the Cabinet Meeting held on September 11, 2017 had “illicitly approved for absorption of one post of Assistant Director to Women Resource Development Department from Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) who was serving as Assistant Academic Officer.”

This, the NSF said was done by “evidently violating the Notification of the Government of Nagaland dated 6th May 2015 order which clearly states that, the appointment of the Officer as Assistant Director to Women Resource Development Department is purely on deputation basis and shall be reverted back to his parent department on expiry of two years term period without any notice and that, the Officer shall have no right to claim seniority nor absorption.”

It therefore demanded that the cabinet nullify the Office Memorandum for approval of the cabinet meeting Agenda No. 9 within 10 days. The NSF cautioned that failure to do so would compel the federation to “resort to its own course of actions.”
