NSLSA bids farewell to Member Secretary

Outgoing Member Secretary of NSLSA, Mezivolu T Therieh along with others after the farewell programme held on May 23 in Kohima.

Kohima, May 23 (MExN): A farewell programme for outgoing Member Secretary of Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) Mezivolu T Therieh was held today in Kohima. Mezivolu T Therieh in her speech expressed thankfulness of learning and experiences that she received through the lenses of the legal service authority. She also pointed that the bonding of legal services in the country is remarkable.


The outgoing Member Secretary also remarked that the services of the legal authority can only be reached to the marginalized and weaker sections through holistic approach. One of the visible changes and impacts in the lives of people, as she cited have largely been through mega legal camps conducted across the state in all the districts last year that from ‘legal awareness to empowerment’ have been made possible.


Noting that many feats of NSLSA have been achieved in a very short span of time, she said it was satisfactory and remarkable to receive national recognition and reach the mainstream. Incoming member secretary N Longshithung Ezung also conveyed his happiness to join the NSLSA, however stated that it would be a challenge for him to replace the present status of the Member Secretary. He said that he will render his best of services to keep the good feats alive.


Outgoing project officials were also feted for their services. Messages were also conveyed from Kohima DLSA, representatives from project official and NSLSA staffs.
