NSRLM conducts orientation cum workshop

Phek, July 3 (MExN): Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) under Phek district organised a one day district level livelihoods orientation cum workshop at DRDA conference hall, Phek on July 3.  

Block Mission Management Units, Self Help Group (SHG) members and Village Level Organisation (VLO) members from Pfutsero, Meluri, Phek, Sekruzu and Weziho blocks attended the orientation cum workshop, informed a press release.  

Zhalie Puro, Assistant District Program Manager Phek, in his keynote address briefed the participants on the overview of the mission and various programs implemented by NSRLM such as SVEP, MKSP, DDU-GKY. He also stressed on the identification of best practices on various livelihoods and the importance of women’s role to uplift the society.  

Resource person Shampa Konyak, District Functional Specialists, Phek presented the Annual Action Plan 2018-19 under NSRLM and initiated interaction among the participants. Various categories of intervention were presented and the current practices were discussed with the participants for future intervention references, the release said.  

Shampa also encouraged the participants to share their knowledge, be adaptive to various livelihoods challenges, and be constructive force in implementation of various governmental schemes.  

Sezokholu Rhakho, Block Program Manager, Phek was the chairperson of the programme, which began with a prayer by Thekusulu, CSP Meluri block.
