NSUD seeks assistance to help stranded Nagas

DIMAPUR, MARCH 31 (MExN): The Naga Students Union Delhi (NSUD) today sought assistance from all quarters in order to help community members who are suffering due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown in Delhi and NCR.

 

A press release from the NSUD stated that people living in different cities are facing double traumatization from the fear of the pandemic and being subject to racial discrimination. It added that Naga people are in different locations and many are facing financial difficulties to procure daily food essentials.

 

It informed that the NSUD has been receiving many distressed call on a daily basis from stranded community members, sick people, hospital patients and emergency cases from across the country. It has been coordinating and assisting with the help of SPUNER Team Delhi Police and well-wishers.

 

“As the lockdown continue it is obvious that the challenges and issues will rise at its peak. To prevent and take precautions we are in urgent requirement of physical, mental and financial assistance,” it stated.
