NSUD to open help desk for Delhi University admission

With the commencement of admission to various courses under Delhi University for academic session 2018-2019, the Naga Students’ Union Delhi (NSUD) today informed that it will opening ‘admission help desk’ at two or more centres.


The help desk will assist Naga students and others in filling up their forms and in the admission procedures till the end of the admission, stated NSUD General Secretary Mathiuchunbou Rimai in a press release.


The DU has announced that the admission to various Ph.D., M. Phil., Postgraduate and Undergraduate Programmes will commence from May 15.


“All eligible applicants are informed that the registration process of all the Programmes will be completely online for all categories and for all quotas,” it said.


Important Dates:

Online registration for Undergraduate Programmes has started from May 15 and will close on June 7.


Postgraduate Programmes/Diploma in Cyber Security & Law and M.Phil/Ph.D Programmes will start on May 18 and May 20 respectively.


“Candidates are not required to make a choice of colleges but they will be allotted as par their percentage that meets the cut-off criteria,” NSUD release informed.


First Cut-off:

The First cut-off list for Undergraduate Programmes will be notified on June 19.


The candidates who wish to consider for admission for various courses in different colleges of the University are required to register online at www.du.ac.in but they are allowed to fill only one common pre-admission online form, the release said.


Gap year(s) would be no bar for purposes of admission to the Undergraduate Programmes and there is no first come first served policy, it added.


However, for admission to St. Stephen and Jesus & Mary College, aspirants should contact the concerned college for additional information.


Registration for all categories including Sports quota/ ECA, Kashmiri Migrants and CW (Defense) will also be completely online.


Candidates can apply for ECA and sports quota by selecting appropriate options in registration form. There is an additional fee of Rs. 100 each for applying under ECA or sports quota. There is no registration/pre-admission form at the college level (online/offline).


The applicant cannot change/update the information once the fee is submitted. The payment is accepted online through credit card/debit card/ Net banking/ UPI.


Candidates whose result is awaited can submit the online registration form by choosing “Awaited” in the drop-down menu of “Result Status” on “Academic Details” page/section while entering the information.


However, they have to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria cut-off list of that course/colleges during the stipulated period.


For Hostel accommodation forms/applications are to be collected and submitted to the concern college.
