NSUP holds 20th general body meeting

Phagwara, March 2 (MExN): The Naga Students' Union Phagwara (NSUP) held its 20th general body meeting (GBM) cum election on February 23 at Satnampura, Phagwara. During the meet, the house discussed on the participation in the upcoming event, One India cum One World, which is scheduled to be held from March 28-30 at Lovely Professional University, Punjab, stated a release from the Information and Publicity, Secretary.


The union is going to represent the Nagas in the mega transnational cultural festival along with all the states & union territories of India and 33 countries of the world.


It also decided to induct the previous president to be one of the members of union's advisory board. The meeting was chaired by President, Kekhrievituo Miachie-o. Krosu Hiesuh, Ketusezo Rote and Rongsenungsang Jamir were elected as President, General Secretary and Finance Secretary respectively. The incoming President in his speech sought support and cooperation from each of the members to make the union stronger.


Earlier, the invocation was pronounced by Kekhriengulie Tetso, Convenor, Christian Fellowship Jalandhar (CFJ). The file handling was held on March 2.
