NSUP organizes freshers' orientation cum website launch

Naga Students’ Union Phagwara (NSUP) along with freshers and guests after the freshers' orientation cum website launch on August 12 at LPU campus, Phagwara.

 

Dimapur, August 14 (MExN): Naga Students’ Union Phagwara (NSUP) organized its freshers' orientation cum website launch 2019 on August 12.


Chaired by Netanya W Khayi, Assistant General Secretary NSUP, the programme opened with a welcome address by Tovikali Chophy, Assistant Sports Secretary followed by introductory session of the NSUP Executives, Advisory Board and the freshers. 


A press release form Asivi Nagi, Information and Publicity Secretary, NSUP stated Krosu Hiesuh, NSUP President, expressed desire for driving the Union forward emphasizing on becoming better together as a unit and as individuals in the future.


Briefing on design of the website and its need was explained by Er Ketusezo Rote, General Secretary. The NSUP Website has been in the talks for months and “the union is proud to finally launch our own official website,” the release added.


It would facilitate quick connectivity amongst the members and to the outside world to understand the working of the union as well as a platform for a look into the lives of Naga students studying in Phagwara, Punjab.


The launch of the website www.nsuppunjab.org was inaugurated by Special guest Pastor Tiaakum Ozukum, Christian Fellowship Jalandhar, who expressed the importance of active participation in the union.


Pele George, Advisor NSUP and Assistant Professor in Lovely Professional University, also imparted words of counsel to the freshers to make maximum use of the facilities provided by the university and encouraged them to take active roles and responsibility and to put God first in all walks of life.


Vote of thanks was delivered by Imkososang Jamir, Vice President NSUP. Other special guests included Rinlungso Zimik, President of North East Organization Jalandhar (NESOJ) and representatives of Manipur Students' Union Phagwara (MSUP).
