NTC welcomes GoI move to invite 6 NNPGs Working Group for talks

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): The Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) today appreciated the Government of India for inviting the Working Committee representing 6 NNPGs to political negotiation “on equal footing.”

Stating that the invitation has come at the right time, a press note from the NTC appealed “to all concerned to take up the matter with all seriousness and be a part of the process for an honourable solution.”

It welcomed the “positive attitude of the GoI in extending an official invitation to the Working Committee for political negotiation,” and hoped that the new approach will reward both the negotiating parties to a win-win situation that will harvest an inclusive and lasting solution.

The NTC acknowledged the Prime Minister, who it stated has “acknowledged the indispensability of the rest of NNPGs outside the ongoing dialogue and has become pivotal in giving rational treatment to every stake-holder.” It further thanked Interlocutor for the Indo-Naga peace talks, RN Ravi, who the NTC stated has “tirelessly and determinedly worked to bring everybody to the path of peace.” “The NTC finds that the Interlocutor is dependable as he remains firm and true to what he talks,” it added.
