NU MBA students undertake industrial tour

Dimapur, March 14 (MExN): As part of the curriculum and annual affair, the Department of Management Nagaland University, Kohima Campus has organized an industrial tour for the MBA 4th Semester to Kerala from February 24 to March 8.  

The students visited the Cochin Port (Shipping Corporation of India), wherein the students were briefed about the workings of the shipping activities (Commercial Activities) within and outside the Country by the Port Officials. They also visited the Indian Maritime University (A Central University) Cochin Campus.  

A lecture was delivered by the Faculty of the University, and there was an interactive session with the Students and Faculties of the University. The students also visited The Hypertext LULU Mall, which is considered to be one of the biggest retail mall in area and size in Asia. The students were able to feel and experience the retail marketing system.  

Besides that, the students got an opportunity to explore and see many other development activities that are taking place, which are not happening back home. The students also visited Cochin University of Science and Technology.  

On the way back home Via Chennai, the Students were able to have a glimpse of the University of Madras and St. Thomas Cathedral.  

It was stated in a press release that the group of 22 MBA students was accompanied by the Faculty of the Department: Dr. Manoj E. Prabhakar, HoD and Dr. Ditalak Mpanme, Asst. Professor.
